We spent three months this winter at The Hunter House and couldn’t have had a nicer experience. Everything was supplied in the suite, including a washer and drier. The staff went out of their way to insure that we had every thing that we needed. The location was perfect as we were within a few minutes of shopping centers and restaurants. There was also an excellent restaurant connected with the Hunter House Motel. I would definitely recommend the Hunter House for a pleasant and relaxing vacation.
We love eating at the restaurant. Everything that we've ordered so far has been really good. Try to take advantage of the lunch specials. You get a lot of food for a good price. I love the roast beef and all the soups. I'm glad now they have dinner hours now. Hopefully dinner hours stick around for a while.
My wife and I enjoyed breakfast at the Hunter House Restaurant. The server was friendly and quick with drink refills. The food was very good, fresh and hot. The prices are average to the area. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting the Ingram area.
My dad always had to eat here atheist 2x each visit when he would visit us in the hill country. Now that he passed I find myself having his favorite breakfast here when I miss him. He wasn't wrong. He loved him a good breakfast!
I've been flood relief volunteering the last few months and have had to stay in a motel on several occasions. The Hunter Inn was actually an upgrade from the typical mainstream chains at a competitive price. The room was clean and the bed was top-shelf. It might appear as a outdoorsman hotel but it is a nice place with a friendly environment. The Hunter Cafe breakfast lives up to its legendary reputation by locals. 5 Hill Country cooking. Y'all come back now!
I love coming here. It's like a diner, sort of. This morning my mom had scrambled eggs, sausage patties - they looked homemade - biscuit, and fruit. The eggs looked light and fluffy and my mom said they were really good. When I went up to pay I could see and smell the pie dough. Yes, they are fresh and these were $12.95. so, if you're headed out Ingram way, stop in and enjoy a good fresh meal!!!!
They had the BEST King Ranch Chicken I have EVER tasted*****. Go early - there are not many tables. It is a SMALL cafe***. I was irritated that someone called in for a table of 8 but only 5 people showed up and many people left because the wait was too long. No places to sit while waiting.
This is a local, home style cafe. Even the decor is from that time period. I had the two egg breakfast and OMG it was so delicious. Have not had a breakfast like this in some time. Also, very attentive water staff. Will definitely return.
